A taco love story?
Amidst Chipotle’s food safety scandal and recent reputational issues comes this beautiful Pixar-esque animated short from them, which depicts two young children operating rival lemonade and orange juice stands who loses their way as their competitive spirit spirals out of control.
The dialogue-free short is backed by a cover of the Backstreet Boy’s iconic “I Want It That Way,” by Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes and Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
You can’t deny that it has a compelling storyline but beneath the surface of the ‘love story’, is this a cry for help from Chipotle and a call for its own redemption?
Either way, half way through the animation, you get so drawn into the storyline that you forget that it’s even about Chipotle in the first place.
